Our First Thanksgiving.

I would have to say Our first Thanksgiving was FaBuLouS!  We kept it pretty low key, but the food was oh so delicious.  Jacob & I fixed dinner for his Dad & his brother Doug.  It was nice to be able to sit down with family & share Thanksgiving together.  Jacob made a delicious turkey, one of the best i've ever tasted, mashed potatos, corn, & I made the traditional rice casserole, & the pumpkin pies.

Don't mind the laid back look....I told you we kept in pretty low key

The before shot...it may sound somewhat twisted, but we named our little turkey Thomasina.

Thomasina just out of the oven.  She was a beautiful bird!

Chef Jacob-carving Thomasina...the wait was almost over

The pumpkin pies.  Not the best looking pies I've ever made, but the taste made up for the lack of beauty.

The beautifully set table waiting for us to sit down and enjoy our feast.  I have to say that for our first attempt at Thanksgiving dinner, we did pretty good.  How grateful we are to have each other & all of the many wonderful blessings in our lives!
