Its beginning to look a lot like....

Yes we all know the next word here is Christmas, but for some reason I am struggling this year.  Our halls are decked, and they look unbelievably festive and Christmas-y, but I still can't capture the joy and magic of the season.  We went to a great and fun Christmas kickoff party this last Sunday, I have my carols ringing through the house and in my car, but still for some reason I can't "get" into Christmas this year.  This is incredible un-like me.  I love the holiday season & the magic that always seems to be in the air around this time of year.  I can't put my finger on the why but I have decided to do something about my little dilemma.  I've started watching the favorite Christmas movies & still have the carols ringing, but I decided I needed to get back to the true meaning of Christmas.  Not the crowded stores, not the mean cranky drivers, not the *gasp* Christmas goodies(don't worry I will still be enjoying plenty of the tastiness of the season), not the beautifully wrapped packages under a tree, but the TRUE reason that we celebrate this season.  Yes the birth of our Savior.  A few years ago my sister showed a video of the Nativity with the song Breath of Heaven playing with it in a YW or relief society lesson,  I absolutely love it.  The message of the video combined with the words of the song are indeed just what I needed to get out of my little holiday rut.  Many of you may have seen this & know of the goodness, but  for those of you who haven't or those of you who need a little reminder take a few minutes & remember why we celebrate this time of year.

Merry Christmas to all......
